Cows Grazing Print | Maud Lewis | Art Gallery of NS
Maud Lewis (1901-1970) was born and lived her entire life on the Yarmouth and Acadian Shore of Nova Scotia. Born with physical challenges of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, Maud found her love of painting at an early age. Maud's love of painting grew into what now highlights her as one of Canada’s premier folk artists.
Maud's modest home, adorned with her artwork, was fully restored in 1996 and is now on permanent display at the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia in Halifax.
