Saelvage is a small batch clothing company based in beautiful Prince Edward Island, Canada. Kara Hebb founded in 2013 when she started making small baby items out of up-cycled materials. Evolving over the years, and after lots of research into textiles, patterns, and garment construction, Saelvage's creates high quality products that have lasting value.
The name “Saelvage” is a bit of a play on words. The word “salvage” means the rescue of property or material from potential loss or destruction... And “selvage” means the throw-away machined edge of fabric that prevents it from unravelling. So, Kara combined the two words to create her brand: Saelvage
