Design Inspiration:
“Tag, you’re it”. And the chase begins as a pair of chipmunks spiral around and around the tree trunk, speeding along sturdy branches, springing from one to the next before slipping to the ground and scrambling across the forest floor. Just try not to smile as you watch their antics! Then, as quickly as it started, the fun is over and each goes back to the important task of collecting and storing acorns in preparation for the long winter ahead. Adopt a little of the chipmunk’s spirit and always try to find a time to play among the bustle of the everyday. Work hard, play hard."

The artisans at Amos Pewter are proud to be keepers of time-honoured pewter practices and methods while at the same time offering innovative designs inspired by nature and our beautiful coastal surroundings.
Amos Pewter's artisans carefully ladle hot, free-flowing molten pewter from the melting pot and capture it in a spinning mould formed from a wax sculpture carved in detail to mirror the original hand-drawn design. Once removed from the mould, each piece is carefully hand-finished in a process that ensures excellence in craftsmanship.
Amos Pewter was the first artisan shop in Nova Scotia to become a member of the international Economusee network whose mission is to showcase traditional trades and skills. Amos Pewter is crafted in picturesque Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.
