This tea dates back to ancient Egypt and was loved by the pharaohs and nobility. The tea was originally served sweetened with honey. Apples were considered the fruit of kings, and the seeds were imported from Eastern Europe. You can still find a tea similar to this today in Egypt, called karkadae

Sense and SensibiliTea are the tea creations of Wanda and Andrew Aulenback. Their company started from humble roots. It began in a make shift 18th century tea parlour. Having hosted many fully costumed period teas, Wanda decided to take the next step, and begin research to make sure the teas she was serving were accurate to the various time periods they were playing in. So began Sense and SensibiliTea.
