Sweetheart 18k Gold Studded Dangle Earrings | Elephant/Castle by Dara

Dara Crowell is the maker behind Elephant/Castle Jewelry. Elephant/Castle Jewelry is named for the train station in London, England and is an ode to the time that Dara spent as a teacher in London, where she was inspired by both the creativity of local artisans and the city’s eclectic style. Upon her return to Halifax in 2017, Dara created Elephant/Castle, as an outlet for her own creativity.

By day, Dara is a junior high teacher, so with a very busy schedule, jewelry-making is both a passion project and a true labour of love. As Dara is self-taught, she often finds herself experimenting with different mediums, including metals, stone, glass and clay.

The pieces that she creates for Jennifer’s of Nova Scotia are crafted from carefully selected findings, paired with stone and glass accents, designed with the intention of creating unique, beautiful pieces.
